Joseph Sheldon is one of the Transportation Planners at Cross County Connection TMA. Joe was hired as the Transportation Specialist in 2025, and received a promotion to Transportation Planner in 2026. Joe tackles community shuttle bus/transit planning activities such as ridership data analysis and assisting with bicycle/pedestrian studies. Joseph graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Community & Environmental Planning and a minor in G.I.S. from Rowan University. He used to be an Accounting major, getting his associates in Business Administration from the Rowan College of South Jersey, until he realized he did not like calculating compounding interest rates and navigating tax law. Joe discovered his passion for planning through a YouTube rabbit hole of Urban Planning channels such as “Not Just Bikes” and “CityNerd,” ranting about the subject to his friends daily until one finally suggested switching career paths (He thanks his friend Vince for the advice). Joseph enjoys a LOT of hobbies, whether its bowling, boardgames, videogames, skateboarding, hiking, canoeing, indoor rock wall climbing, improv, archery, or occasionally teaching his two Keeshonds a new trick with mixed results, Joe is rarely bored. Collections include rocks, Funko Pops, currencies, and Warhammer 40k figures.
