Hi everyone!
Riki Rideshare reporting to you from Cross County Connection's headquarters with some exciting news. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't say to me, "Riki, you are the Rideshare Guru. You should take this knowledge to the world wide web." Well, folks, the powers that be have finally heard your requests and I'm now appearing on the CCCTMA website! I'm hard at work on the column for the latest Easy Rider Newsletter, so if you have any questions you want answered (What is ridesharing? How can I join the Caring Commuter Program? Why did Bennifer really break-up) drop me an email.
Have a question for Riki? Drop her a line via email or call (856) 596-8228 and ask for Riki's mailbox.

RIKI'S FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When I was first faced with the task of creating a frequently asked questions section for this webpage, I must admit to reveling in delusions of grandeur. These thoughts only lasted a second or two, but it was long enough to imagine a world filled with Riki Rules! tee-shirts and boundless fansites in my honor. Then I remembered the reason I was here: to keep you up-to-date on all the important transportation information available out there. That said, below is a list of questions that I'm most often asked and those that I think deserve reiteration.
1.
Who is Riki Rideshare? It's
the question
on everyone's lips. Costume malfunctions are
a thing
of the past
and word on the street is all about the mysterious
Riki
Rideshare.
(I
warned all of you about those delusions of
grandeur!). Riki
Rideshare is
everyone's favorite source for information
on ridesharing
and all those
other sometimes-complicated, sometimes-unknown
transportation
options available
to fellow South Jerseyans.

Caring Commuter Rewards Program
Dear Riki, One of my co-workers told me that there is new carpool program where I can get a $100 gas card if I participate. It sounds too good to be true. What's the catch? Sincerely, Cynical Commuter |
Hey there, Cynical. It’s time to let the optimism pour into your daily commute to work because the Carpooling Makes Sense program is one hundred percent legit. This new incentive program is open to all New Jersey residents who establish a new carpool. Each new carpool of two or more commuters will receive one $100 gas card after the two months of activity. And just so we’re clear…that’s one gas card per carpool, not person. Still plenty of free gas to get you to and from work. Of course, like every program, there are certain guidelines that must be met – you must carpool to work at least 24 days in a two-month period and there are tracking forms and a registration application to be completed – but have no fears, my friend. The required paper work is easy to navigate, and if you do have any questions, our office is here to help you. So there you have it, Cynical. No catch whatsoever and you’re doing a good thing for the environment to boot. Free money and free karma. Who could ask for more? So go to Carpooling Makes Sense Program page and follow the instructions from there. Yours in carpooling! Riki |
I'll post a list of my current favorite fun reads and once a month, there will be a feature on one in particular, the Riki Book of the Month!
Riki's
Book of the Month
The
latest book club recommendation is The Time Traveler's Wife by
Audrey Niffenegger. Don't let its size
scare you away, it's one of those books
that you won't want to put down once
you get started. Don't be fooled by
the title either - this book is much
more a love story than a science fiction
time traveling book. Brilliant characters,
a strong relationship at the core,
and an original story. It's a great
read for those train trips to
New York
or
Atlantic Cities.

Take Transit. One bus full of passengers takes the place of 20 automobiles.
