NEWS FLASH!
Transit Tax Benefit Increase
The Emergency Economic Recovery Act just signed into law by President Obama includes
a provision to increase the transit tax benefit (which was $120/month compared with $230/month for parking) effective immediately, to the same value as parking--$230.
This is a big win for transit commuters and will make an important contribution to reductions in air pollution and traffic congestion.
It also means that working Americans who commute by transit can save up to
$1000 or more a year!
